About Fifendekel

The ambiance at Fifendekel strikes a balance between casual comfort and subtle charm, inviting diners to settle in leisurely. The lunch crowd gravitates toward a variety of dishes that reflect thoughtful preparation, often prompting curiosity about the menu beyond the typical fare. While some patrons might find the seating a bit snug during peak times, the overall atmosphere encourages engaging conversations rather than hurried meals. Photographs shared online hint at an evolving visual identity, capturing both the rustic elements and lively presentation of food that aligns well with the setting.

Salt and spice play prominent roles across the plates, with standout offerings featuring fresh ingredients paired thoughtfully rather than excessively. The range available on the Fifendekel lunch options caters to varied palates, from hearty sandwiches to lighter salads, presenting a reasonable blend of classic and inventive choices. Reviews have noted consistency in flavor execution, though occasionally, the pace of service fluctuates, especially during busier lunchtime hours. This timing unpredictability can affect the overall experience, but does little to overshadow the care evident in the food’s composition.

Browsing through several Fifendekel restaurant reviews reveals a receptive audience appreciative of the cozy setting and menu diversity. Value for money aligns with the portion sizes and quality, though some might debate the pricing considering the lack of evening service or expanded offerings. Observations about the staff’s attentiveness usually lean positive, with a team that maintains warmth without pressing for turnover. This combination lends the venue an inviting spirit, making it a noteworthy stop for those seeking a reliable spot to break midday routines in Edmonton’s lunch scene.

The shop isbusy during lunch hours. But the lineup moves very fast. Service is nice. I ordered the black forest ham with everything and added cheese. The sandwich turned out huge! All ingredients were fresh and the sandwich was delicious.

My family's favourite sandwich shop in the city! Always fresh, great selection of soups and salads as well, and the pie is always yummy! Totally worth the stop!

We had such a wonderful experience at this south side Fifendekel in Edmonton. Their food is always fresh, delicious, and feels genuinely wholesome. The kind of simple, healthy comfort food that never disappoints. We came in about 15 minutes before closing, and the staff could not have been any kinder. They welcomed us in with friendly smiles, never rushed us, and treated us with such genuine warmth. It’s rare to feel that level of hospitality these days, and it truly stood out. I ordered a turkey sandwich with broccoli soup and a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie, everything tasted homemade, fresh, and full of flavour. To top it off, they even offered us some leftover baked bread instead of throwing it out. Such a thoughtful gesture! This Fifendekel has earned a loyal customer in us. Great food, great people, and a level of service that makes you feel valued. Highly recommend!

This was my first time here. My mom had suggested it because she said she used to come here years ago and loved it. I wasn’t disappointed! The roast beef and multigrain bread were high quality and fresh. I enjoyed the wide selection of toppings, especially the banana peppers. Be warned … it’s a big sandwich to fit into your mouth lol! I am a young man who is blind and uses a cane. We parked out front and had reasonable access into the door. It would be helpful if there was easier access but once inside, the place is easy to navigate and there is plenty of seating options. I recommend you give this place a try!

Keep hearing rave reviews so we had to try it for ourselves! Super cute spot. We got the Montreal smoked beef & the turkey sandwiches. Sandwiches were fresh & delicious! Love that you can pick your bread & toppings. Just wish they’d put more mayo & mustard (I asked for extra but I must like a heavy amount lol). Got macaroni salad because they were out of caesar salad. The macaroni salad was okay; probably wouldn’t order it again. Had to try the pies too: banana cream & lemon meringue. Delicious as well. Paid $44 for 2 sandwiches, 2 pieces of pie, macaroni salad, & 2 drinks. Not too bad for amazing quality food!

I got the Dill Pickle Pasta & Chocolate Pie & they were both phenomenal! Customer service was great - it is a bit confusing if you're not ordering a sandwich since you don't need to stand in the sandwhich line to order, but other than that, the experience was great. The workers are super friendly, and the seating is comfy. The restaurant was clean and well maintained!

Great experience eating here, the staff are always friendly and work hard when there's a line up to get people through. The sandwiches are great but the pies are the best. It can get pretty busy sometimes so if your planning on eating in you might want to avoid the busy times or it can be a challenge to find a table and parking.
